“The one in the rear hold. Port side by the bulkhead door.”

It wasn’t a question because he didn’t need to ask. He knew which circuit was being described, it had been one of the first major repairs that Han and Chewie had tackled when the first acquired the Millennium Falcon from Lando. It was funny (and just a little disheartening) that it was still causing them problems years later. You couldn’t blame the ship, though. It had been through a lot.

“We knew each other that long and you didn’t want to be on my crew, huh?” He was trying to figure out what that said about him, because he couldn’t fathom anything else that far into the future — he certainly wouldn’t have guessed that he’d be fighting for the Rebels if you gave him a thousand tries. “Your loss, pal.”

When they got to Han’s building, which was as dreary as most other buildings in the down, he let Luke in. Since it wasn’t an especially tall one, there were only a couple of flights of stairs they needed to climb to get to his floor.

“I’ll be just a minute.” He said, over the sound of the creaking steps. “Do you have a place in mind for getting these drinks at?”
