Han raised his eyebrows at that news. There’s something about Luke’s personality that makes Han think that he’s not a liar, though, some of these claims seem very odd without the context of having lived in those moments. Like he couldn’t see himself risking himself and his ship from someone determined to go on a suicide run (except Chewie). Or even being involved in anything military enough to be throwing around the word squadron.
