runningscams: (I’ll Protect You)

People where Han came from don’t believe in The Force. There weren’t a lot of force-sensitive beings in the galaxy compared to the vast number that were not and many went through their whole lives without meeting someone that could manipulate the energy of life. It was hard, therefore, to have faith in stories and things that couldn’t be seen.

It was even harder for someone like Han who felt that life wasn’t all that fair, in his experience. That what was amazing about the universe around home could be explained if you just kept looking for a mundane answer.

It doesn’t even register that Luke was apologizing for slamming the trash bin. He didn’t believe that someone can slam a trash can like that without touching it.

“Yeah, well, you don’t have to worry about me. I know what it’s like to get by in a place like this.” Of course, Han was exactly the kind of person who would say that. Whether it was true or not.
